About

Tiburon Peninsula Traffic Alliance (officially Tiburon Peninsula Traffic Relief JPA) is a Joint Powers Authority (JPA) of the Town of Tiburon, the City of Belvedere, and Reed Union School District. We were established in 2016 as an official government agency to implement policies and programs to reduce congestion on Tiburon Boulevard.

The Yellow Bus Program is our flagship program. With school bus services no longer guaranteed by the State of California, our agency maintains this vital traffic-alleviating program. We offer bus services to students at all three RUSD campuses: Reed Elementary, Bel Aire Elementary, and Del Mar Middle School.

Thanks to the financial support of our local and county agencies, pass prices are deeply discounted for all riders.

The JPA strategically oversees the bus program, including route planning and daily operations, in partnership with a Program Manager. We contract with First Student for our buses and drivers.
